This quarry produces rock from a mixture of very hard dolostone with very strong boldly colored mineral patina coating on the sides of the rock. The color of the patina varies from purple-black tar balsamic vinegar to white sugar dusting against the rocks with rose-colored tones.
This is an excellent desert scape rock that improves with age due to sun exposure on the mineral patina.
Auburn Rose boulder, being a dolostone rock, is not suitable for water features.
